Biography
Trey Melvin. A native of Dayton, Ohio, Trey Melvin attends Stivers High School for the Performing Arts. He maintains a 4.0 GPA and is also an actor, singer and poet. He has received many awards...the majority of them honoring his writing, acting, volunteer service, and academic excellence. Some of his works include Afterwhile, Scratch That Story, Rewind!, Grandma's Apple Pie, Scratch That Story 2: Deadline, and many more. When graduating from High School, Mr. Melvin plans to attend college at Yale University. At age 12, he created the following motto for his self-produced monthly newsletter, The Melvin Gazette, in which he sold and distributed to his fellow classmates about the latest school news: "Writing is a true gift to the world; cherish it. It molds the heart and soul; treasure it. It has a purpose; value it."
