Biography
Aliza Goldstein is a playwright and video game writer based in Orange County, CA, which is more than a stone's throw away from northeast Florida, where she was born, raised, and learned to write. She holds a B.F.A. in Dramatic Writing from New York University with a double major in Anthropology (class of 2013). Aliza's work has been performed at theaters across the country, including the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. She is a two-time finalist of the International Thespian Society's Playworks program (2008, 2009), a four-time winner in the Blank Theatre Company's Young Playwrights Festival (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011), and a 2009 finalist in the Young Playwrights Inc. National Playwriting Competition. She is also the recipient of the 2007 VSA Playwright Discovery Award, the 2013 John Golden Prize for Undergraduate Playwriting, and the 2015 Ebell of Los Angeles Playwright Prize.
