Biography
Steven Drukman's Another Fine Mess premiered at Portland Center Stage and received a Pulitzer Prize nomination in 2003. Other produced plays include In This Corner (on the Joe Louis/Max Schmeling bouts), which recently premiered at the Old Globe Theatre in San Diego, winning that city's Critics Circle Best New Play award; as well as Going Native (Long Wharf Theatre); Flattery Will Get You (Connecticut Repertory Theatre); Collateral Damage (Illusion Theater, Minneapolis); Snowmaiden (Bob Hope Theatre, Dallas). Also: Truth and Beauty (South Coast Repertory, Pacific Playwrights Festival). His most recent play is Naked Angels' first-ever commission, titled The Innocents. Mr. Drukman's work has been developed by the Mark Taper Forum, Intiman Theatre, Sundance Theatre Lab, Williamstown Theatre Festival, Playwrights Horizons, South Coast Rep, New York Theatre Workshop, many others. Awards: Craig Noel Award, Paul Green Award, Alfred P. Sloan Award, Edgerton Award for New Plays, Boston Theatre Works, Heideman finalist, others.
