Biography

Brendan Healy 's plays have been performed in Chicago, Miami, Minneapolis, California, Louisville, Connecticut, and Seattle. Mr. Healy was the 2004 recipient of the Heideman Award for his short play picnic (pik'nik): v.i. and a finalist for the 2013 award with his play The Way It Really Truly Almost Was. Full-length plays include The Secret Recordings of Lenin to His Lost Love; Relative We; Suffering, Inc.; Or, the Whale; Taste; and two children's plays. He was a writer-in-residence with Seattle Repertory Theatre's Writers Group program from 2013-2015 and is currently a member of 5th Avenue Theatre's Writers Group.
