Biography
Jim Helsingeris the playwright and adaptor of Dracula: The Journal of Jonathan Harker, Robinson Crusoe, Frankenstein: The Modern Prometheus, 3 versions of A Christmas Carol (with cast sizes ranging from 5-16), and The Trial of Joan the Maid. His plays have been produced at Orlando Shakespeare Theater, Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival, Orlando Repertory Theatre, Cape May Stage, Cincinnati Shakespeare Company, Prague Shakespeare Company, Trinity Theatre Company, Alman Theatre, UK, Mile Square Theatre, Coterie Theatre, Joslyn Castle, Bluebarn Theatre, and more. He is also an actor and director and serves as the Artistic Director of the Orlando Shakespeare Theater in partnership with UCF. He resides in Orlando, Florida with his wife and two children.
