Biography
Trista Baldwin is a 2015-16 member of the Writer's Group of the Seattle Repertory Theater and the founding producer of Workhaus Collective. Trista is the recipient of Jerome Fellowships, a McKnight Advancement Grant, Saison Foundation international artist residency, a Japan Foundation grant recipient for new play development, and alum of the Core Writer program at The Playwrights' Theater of Minneapolis. Her work has been produced by companies including The Flea, The Guthrie Theater, Women's Project Theater, New Georges, Red Eye Theater, Bloomington Playwrights Project, Circle X Theatre Co., The Empty Space Theater and the National New Play Network. Plays include Eye of the Lamb, Kill Me Don't Go, American Sexy, Sand, Mesujika Doe, DOE, Patty Red Pants, ElectroPuss and Chicks With Dicks: Bad Girls on Bikes Doing Bad Things. She is a former Associate Professor of dramatic writing at St. Cloud University, MN, and currently teaches playwriting for youth at Vashon Allied Arts in Washington state, where she is raising two young daughters.
