Biography
Joseph Sorrentino is a playwright and photographer. His full-length plays include Louis' Lottery, The Further Adventures of the Gavone Family, In Their Own Way, and Headin South. He has also written The Frankenharry Plays, a series of short plays produced at the Philadelphia Fringe Festival and The Second Stage in Philadelphia. His articles, individual photographs, and photoessays have appeared in a number of newspapers and magazines.
Mr. Sorrentino was awarded a Pennsylvania Council on The Arts Fellowship in Playwriting for 1995 and 1996, was a finalist in the 2000 Pew Fellowships in the Arts, and was awarded a 2000 Mid-Atlantic Arts Fellowship.
