Biography
Randy Wyatt is a director, playwright, professor and literary manager. His plays include Black Friday (developed at A Theatre Group, Silverton CO), Harmony (dev. Actor's Theatre of Grand Rapids), Mint (Stark Turn Players), 9x9x9 (Flowershop Project), Sonata Blue (Coda Theatre Project), Slush (Whole Art Theatre), The Face of the Earth (ArtWithin), Swindling Jehovah (Minnesota Fringe Fest), Said and Meant (Whole Art Theatre/Crawlspace Eviction), Anticipating Miles (National Gay and Lesbian Theatre Festival), Synonymy (Minnesota State University, Mankato), The Ghost Moments (Cornerstone University), and Saturday Morning Forever. His plays for children include Brave Little Tailor; Rising Sun, Rising Moon; Alice in Wonderland (and back again), Robin Hood and the Heroes of Sherwood Forest, and Intergalactic Chuck. His work has been recognized by the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival and the Grand Awards of West Michigan, and published by Heinemann, Applause Publishing, Smith & Kraus, YouthPLAYS and Playscripts. He earned his MFA in Directing from Minnesota State University at Mankato. He is a member of the Literary Managers and Dramaturgs of the Americas and the Playwright's Center in Minneapolis. He serves as the literary manager for Actor's Theatre of Grand Rapids and currently is the Theatre Program Director/ Assistant Professor of Theatre at Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
