Biography
James Kennedy is a playwright, composer, and director. His plays include Trudy, Carolyn, Martha, and Regina Travel to Outer Space and Have a Pretty Terrible Time There (2016 Humana Festival of New American Plays), Boom Country (Betsey Carpenter Playwrighting Award), The Listener (Rod Parker Playwrighting Fellowship), We, and the musical And Then He Painted the Sky. He has presented or developed work at Actors Theatre of Louisville, The Lark Play Development Center, and The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center. He is the Associate Director of the Core Company Apprenticeship Program at The Orchard Project and holds a degree in theatre from Emerson College.
