Biography
Stephen Dolginoffreceived Drama Desk Award nominations for Best Musical and Best Music; an Outer Critics Circle Award nomination for Best Off-Broadway musical; and won an ASCAP Music Award for his musical Thrill Me: The Leopold & Loeb Story. Over 100 productions in fifteen countries and ten languages have followed, including a limited run on London's West End (WOS Award nom), productions in Los Angeles and Chicago, and long-running Asian versions in Seoul and Tokyo. Stephen's musical suspense thriller, Flames, opened in London this spring after several productions around the United States and will premiere in Montreal this Fall. His horror-movie musical homage, Monster Makers, was recently presented at the Daryl Roth Theatre by New York Theatre Barn, and will be produced regionally later this year. Stephen received a Backstage Bistro Award for Outstanding Book, Music and Lyrics for his musical One Foot Out The Door. His musical, Most Men Are; his musical adaptation, Journey To the Center of the Earth; and his musical comedy, Panic the story behind the “War of the Worlds†broadcast, have been performed in theaters all around the world. Stephen received a BFA in Dramatic Writing from NYU/Tisch School of the Arts. His work is published by Dramatists Play Service, Samuel French and Playscripts. As an actor, he played Nathan Leopold in Thrill Me Off-Broadway as well as Seattle, Buffalo, and Tampa. He also performs the role on the cast album. www.stephendolginoff.com
