Biography
Luke Krueger is a professor and administrator within higher education. He has taught writing and theatre at Arizona State University, Loyola University, Lake Forest College and Northern Illinois University. Prior to arriving at NIU he served as the emerging writer in residence at Penn State; later he worked as a resident playwright at Northern Stage in Vermont. Recent productions: The Sad Funeral's debut at Source Theatre in Washington D.C. in July; in October 2014, Dansz Loop Chicago produced two of his short plays in a dance theatre mash-up titled "An Evening of Naughty Thoughts." Other productions include (c)Sullivan: The Place Where People Come to Die (Simple Theatre, Chicago); Father-Daughter Dance (Manhattan Theatre Source, New York); Canterbury Tales, Burning Times and Los Angeles! ...Is Underwater (Northern Illinois University School of Theatre and Dance); and Simmer (Acts to Follow). Canterbury Tales and (c)Sullivan are published by Next Stage Press; Exit Cute, Ed, and Father-Daughter Dance are published by Original Works as part of their E-Ten series. His work has been featured at the Last Frontier Theatre Conference, the Comparative Drama Conference, and the Mid-America Theatre Conference. He holds an MFA in playwriting from Arizona State University and a BA in English from Miami University (Ohio). He is a member of the Dramatists Guild and resides in Poultney, Vermont with his wife Christina.
