Biography
Diana Howie has written eleven full-length plays, including the book for the musical My Small Pistola. All have been produced or seen in workshops. Her Susanna of Stratford has played in many venues, including the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and the International Theatre of Vienna. Her play Madame Delicieuse, her one-act for "dessert theatre," has been adapted as a short film for public television. For teens, Meriwether has published her collection of fifty monologues entitled Tight Spots. Since 1997 she has been the Playwright in Residence at Queensbury Theatre in Houston, where she introduces her new plays and produces an annual New Play Reading Series for Houston-area writers.
