Biography
Casey McCabe started his career as a journalist before drifting into advertising, playwriting, and screenwriting. His first play, Dreaming of Norton, won top honors in the 1991 Bay Guardian Playwright Awards and Honorable Mention in 1999 Moving Arts Premiere One-Act Competition. A selection from Dreaming of Norton was chosen for the Smith & Kraus anthology Best Men's Stage Monologues of 2004. His plays have received staged readings at The Eureka Theater and Theatre Exchange in San Francisco, and Moving Arts in Los Angeles. Mr. McCabe has had his screenplays optioned by Universal Pictures, DreamWorks, New Line Cinema and Beacon Pictures. He was raised in Lincoln, Nebraska and has lived in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1983, where he is married with children.
