Mike uses his grandmother's endowment to form SKAT (Story is King Acting Troupe), a group of actors trained and dedicated to dramatizing clients' personal stories. But he doesn't foresee one major problem: no clients. On the verge of failure, SKAT's secretary realizes she missed the one email from their first customers -- who will arrive in five minutes, expecting an immediate dramatization of their son's story about his cat, Gwendolyn. Chaos ensues as the desperate troupe improvises theatrical treatments including Shakespeare, a musical, absurdism, and more.
