Jeff Bluestein is all set to sell his suburban home in 1963 St. Louis and even has a potential buyer. Dr. Daniel Black is a Jaguar-driving African-American biochemist who has his heart set on Jeff's Caucasian, Jewish neighborhood and won't take "No" for an answer. Jeff's liberal wife Susan is in favor of the sale, but the neighborhood homeowners association has other ideas. This thoughtful comedy cleverly examines standing up for your moral beliefs.
