The great warrior Beowulf comes to the aid of the King of the Danes in a quest to kill the monster Grendel and free his people from terror. As he follows the heroic code of their ancient society, he must face new dangers and overcome the challenges of being a king. A re-telling of the classic epic poem, this adaptation highlights the language of the original in a hybrid style of movement, music, and ritual.
