In a single moment, four young strangers are coughing. A reverend, a mother, a nurse, and a college student inhabit different places, but are the same in youth and illness. They tell us their vividly intertwined stories so that we might remember them, together dreaming of what they'll leave behind and who they might have become. A beautifully poetic evocation of young people succumbing to the devastation of tuberculosis in the 19th century.
